May 26 Activities, What A Week!

Benny was scheduled for an angiogram, May 26, and then we were going to ID on the 28th. We left the house at 5:00 A. M., checked in the hospital by 6:00 and he was ready for the procedure by 7:00. St. John's Hospital is the best, the nurses and staff are great. After the angiogram Dr. Allyn, known as the plumber, came into the room and said, "We need to do a pacemaker, NOW." So that was the next item of business. Dr. Wiggins, Dr. Allyn's partner, known as the electrician, came in and explained the procedure and surgery was performed. We stayed in the hospital in the Heart Recovery section for two days, then was moved to a room with a room-mate. I stayed the first night with Steve and Catherine and the second with Danny and Shanda. This meant I was blessed and treated royally.
We were not able to attend Courtney's graduation but Debbie called so we could hear her name announced as she received her diploma. Leave it to Debbie!!! Deb and the girls drove 10 hours to attend the event. Both Deb and Steve were able to see friends from the past, enjoy Courtney's graduation events, and time in McCall, a beautiful resort area in the mountains. We will have to go tripping at a later date.
Benny is recouperating but finding it hard to not lift more than 10 pounds, drive, lift his arm, etc. It is a full time job finding things for him to do that are acceptable until he goes to the doctor, June 17. So...pray for him (and don't forget me, hahah!

What a bummer that you couldn't make it to the graduation but a blessing that the docs were able to set things right for Benny. You two have been in my prayers! Also just wanted to say thanks for keeping track of us through my blog, maybe the stars will align this summer and we'll get to visit face to face, wouldn't that be nice. Wishing Benny a speedy recovery! :)

Hey mom! Hope all is going well- we are trying to get back into the swing of things here. Tell dad to take it easy and to do what you and the doctor's say- I'll give him a month to recover then it's out west for you! :-) love ya!
