Weekend Activities
Saturday was a beautiful day. New Hope Assembly women were a delightful audience for my inspirational message, "Good News, Jesus Is More Than Enough." The brunch was delicious and it was fun meeting local ladies...all but one a stranger to me, but not now.. Benny had a meeting in Springfield so we went different directions...unusual for us now-a-days. Headed back to Springfield for another meeting in the afternoon and then over to see Abe Lincoln, Steve's puppy. He is cute, little now, but just wait awhile...a Boxer. Talk about being spoiled! Greg, Catherine's cat, didn't seem to mind the new addition. We had pasta from the Pasta House and a fun evening...Today we went to church with Benjie's family at Fellowship Bible. The pastor is a gifted speaker and Dad enjoys hearing him. Then to Braums for lunch before heading home. Phone calls all afternoon kept us busy and then a walk in, you guessed it, the cemetery. Enjoyed our snack while listening to a great musical program on PBS and now need to think about sleeping. Last night Dad decided not to sleep much...we all experienced an awake night...even played Rummy at 2:00 A. M. (and I won, ha)
