A Week's Happenings At The Bolings

Sunday, August 10 we attended First Christian Church in Seymour. It is a country church with a good spirit and about 50 people. Benjie, Kathy, Jessie and Mikey came out for dinner hamburgers and all the trimmings) and we had a great time...even played "Go Fish." In the evening we visited the First Baptist Church. Both services dealt with "the tongue"and how we need to watch our words.
Monday, was Elsie Harlow's celebration service. Benny did a great job for a wonderful Christian lady. It was held at Walnut Lawn Funeral home where we first met with the Gateway Church family. Afterwards Steve, Catherine, Benny and I enjoyed dinner at Village Inn. Then to the hospital to call on Jo Ann Long's son, George who had fallen in an accident at the Lake of the Ozarks. A busy and late night.
Tuesday and Wednesday Benny suffered with Kidney stones....eventually passing four! What a painful experience! Thank goodness for doctors and medicine. (and patience)
Thursday, Benny went to the dentist for almost two hours...really needed that experience, ha! Then we attacked my list of honey do jobs plus get his alergy shot.
It is Friday and weather this week has been in the 80 degree range which is delightful. Steve came out for dinner and all night since Catherine is at a seminar in St. Louis this weekend. He gets around well on his crutches following his foot surgery. Played Liverpool and watched the awesome Olympics. Has been fun.
Wonder what tomorrow and Sunday will bring...know we will be surprised and blessed.
